This is where we link All DRUMSTRONG Events with contacts and details. We continuously update this section with Locations, Facilitator and Facility details, links to the resources, webcast and initiatives that your event will benefit. Event times listed are local to that venue. Our Main Event (in Charlotte, NC) starts Saturday, May 21 at 12:00 noon Eastern Standard Time and we drum (non-stop) till Sunday, May 22 at 5:00 pm. The DRUMSTRONG handBOOK is a good tool with customizable info for your event.

:: Global WEBCAST Factors ::

Here's what you'll need to WEBCAST your Drum Circle to us so that we can see you and play with you at DRUMSTRONG ::

PLACE :: A well lit place works best. You'll need electric power and high speed internet connection (dial up won't work). Hard wired internet connection will work much better than wireless.

EQUIPMENT :: A computer that can connect to the internet, a video camera that can connect to the computer (web cams will work, also some laptops have cameras built in and you can just point it at your circle). Make sure your camera also has a micro phone! (We want to hear you drumming as well as see you) or attach a microphone. A Monitor, computer or projection screen to see us.. Sometimes a TV monitor will work. Possibly speakers.

WEBCAST :: We will set up a Ustreamtv webcast channel for you and send you specific info on the URL (the web address to send your webcast through) and instructions on "how to broadcast". Look on the http://drumstrong.org/events/global page to see what we’ve ‘named’ your DRUMSTRONG event and use the city named after “DRUMSTRONG” for reference.

Extras :: A message board to hold up to the camera with your DRUMSTRONG City on the top and you can write messages to us (and the world).

How to Webcast your Drumcircle for Drumstrong through ustream.tv

1) Connect your computer to the internet

2) Connect your camera to your computer (some have built-in cameras on their computer)

3) Turn on your camera before logging in to ustream.tv

4) Go to ustream.tv

5) Log in by clicking "Login" in upper right corner of web page

6) Enter username and password provided by Drumstrong for your city

ie. for "Scottsdale" their username is "dsscottsdale" (ds + your city) and everybody's password is "beatcancer1"

7) You will now be logged in and you will see your username in the top right corner

8) Now click the "Go Live" button in the top right corner

9) A pop up will ask what channel do you want to broadcast with. We've all ready set you up,

ie. drumstrong-scottsdale, so click "broadcast"

10) Your broadcast dashboard will now come up. Usually you have to close the "Zero Tolerance on Piracy" Pop up by clicking the "X" in the corner.

11) Click the "Allow" button to give access to your camera and mic (your camera must be turned on before you click this.

12) You should now see your camera shot. Make sure your "Video Broadcast" and "Audio Broadcast" buttons are checked. Make sure that your "video source" and "audio source" are correct.

13) Click "Start Broadcast" and now you are webcasting!! Please also click "Record Broadcast" so that we can look at your footage later. People can now view your webcast at your dedicated url (that we have sent you, but they are easy all are the same execpt the city name changes, ie. ustream.tv/channel/drumstrong-scottsdale)

14)Click "Stop Record" and "Stop Broadcast" when your done
